Value Added Course on Basic Research Methodology For Biomedical Research
The Department of Public Health Dentistry organized a three day Value Added Course on “Basic Research Methodology for Biomedical Research” for first year Postgraduate Dental students and interested Research Scholars on 2nd , 3rd and 4th February 2023. This workshop aimed to enhance the knowledge in the fundamentals of Research Methodology and build capacity among researchers regarding scientific ways of conducting Research. The course was organized in collaboration with Department of Community Medicine of KMCT Medical College. The program began with Welcome address by Dr Dhanya Muralidharan, Prof & H.O.D, Dept of Public Health Dentistry, Dr Manoj Kumar KP, Principal, KMCT Dental College, delivered the Principal’s address, the program was inaugurated by Dr Lathi Nair, Principal, KMCT Dental College, on 2nd February at Mini auditorium, 7th Floor, KMCT Dental College. Dr Jayakrishnan T, Prof & H.O.D, Dept of Community Medicine, Dr Shaikh Ubeidulla SID, H.O.D, Dept of Pharmacology addressed the gathering and Dr Arun Paul, Reader, Dept of Public Health Dentistry, delivered the vote of thanks. The scientific sessions were taken by Faculty of Dept of Public Health Dentistry, Dept of Community Medicine, Dept of Pharmacology. Guest Lectures on Basic Biostatistics and Evidence Based Dentistry were taken by Guest Faculty Dr Biju George, Associate Professor, Dept of Community Medicine, Govt Medical College, Kozhikode and Dr Subramaniam R, Prof & H.O.D, Dept of Public Health Dentistry, Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences, Kothamangalam. A total of 36 Post Graduate students and Faculty participated for the Value Added Course which concluded on 4th February 2023 at 4 pm.
